Romsey Red Path Gravel is a 30mm clay bound gravel that is produced by screening Hoggin, this process removes all of the larger aggregates, making it much more suitable for domestic landscaping projects.
Sandy and cream in colour, this is perfect for a traditional country paths, driveable surfaces, hard surfaces to walk on.
This product was originally produced in the Romsey area of Hampshire hence the name Romsey Red, it has been decades since its production moved away from Romsey, but the name has stuck and is still used locally to this very day.
This product is suitable for driveways & paths and will offer a hard walkable / drivable surface, unlike deep shingle surfaces, that can end up like Brighton beach.

It is always best to choose angular decorative aggregates that will not move or displace easily. The angular shapes lock together creating a much stronger surface that will perform better than more rounded aggregates. As a rule of thumb use 20mm aggregates from driveway applications and small for pathways and borders.
